hardtop is off a newer, non crystal white miata upon which paint is peeling. Paint? or Bro-dip? With plasti-dip I guess you can always try again...

My email notified me of your first response. I came here to type "atta boy" but then plasti-dip was mentioned.

I'd consider painting it black.

strip the paint off and let it rust for a few months, then clearcoat it...I heard that was the "culture".

When you later realize that fiberglass doesn't rust, sell the top to someone on here who will begrudgingly buy it for $250, repaint it, and replace all of the rusty hardware.

#YODO, better do it right the first time.

Hahaha. That's brilliant. Props to you, and screw stance/hellaflush/derelict cars.

If you are going to EVER bump the power up, don't waste your money on 7 inch wheels and turd tires. Buy some UL 8" wheels from 949, not the RIP-OFF ones from tire rack.

PS: You will end up in a curb. Eventually. Probably sooner than later. It took me three months.

Shifting fast and tearing up the on-ramps is not driving. If you think you can drive, go enter an autocross event. Chances are, your ego will get kicked in the nuts. Then maybe you will ask for help from some drivers who can actually drive, and then learn how to yourself.

I am not trying to be a dick, but 99.9% of 16 year old dudes, cannot drive 1/10th as good as they think they can. This is just the way it is.

There ARE other good 8" options, but overall that's some pretty solid advice ^.

They aren't rip offs, but larger wheels and tires are on my list when it DOES have power. And the only reason I didn't do 8" is because $ and I didn't want to cheap out on tires. I am happy with my current setup and the car is still grippy.

Ok. You guys have kicked me in the nuts, split open my ******* and now my ***** are laying on the ground. Drying out like little rasins.

I'm actually kind of bummed out. Up until a couple days ago, I had been working my way out of my pit. It's also my fault for choosing to respond to the situation. I won't post in this thread anymore.
