HI MT, I am joe a 25-year-old IT student and living in south Florida. My passion is Miata’s I’ve owned near 20 of them and have parted out just as many. I currently have two Miata’s a 1999 daily and an unreliable 1994.

Last summer after supercharging my NA and not listening to anyone’s advice here I quickly began to realize that I had to get rid of that setup and that led me to a used mkturbo setup. Here are my cars as they sit:

NA:

NB:

Currently the NA is untuned running a turbo base map and barely running. Once again, I did not listen and decided to install a mega squirt without any prior knowledge of how the system works and that’s why i'm here to start listening to what you all experienced turbo guys know/preach to make my life easier.

I have big plans for my na in the future just need to get it to a reliable point so I can start!

Hey from another new Florida person. I'm up in Tallahassee and my NA is in the process of getting an MKturbo setup.

Welcome. Wire your wastegate open until you sort out your tune, or you're gonna assplode your motor. Do you know if the previous owner ported the wastegate on your MK churbo?

Mkturbo is a awesome setup and lars is even an awesomer vender he sent me a fitting i needded even know i bought his kit used now thats backing you product. As for the
waste gate it is ported and is currently at 8psi. Injectors are setup but thats it as far as tuning the car also will not idle without throttle at the moment. Really looking into finding someone local that actually knows megasquirt.

If your tune is so rough that it won't idle, you should definitely wire open your WG so you can nail down some basic tuning without making boost.

thanks for the advice just wired the waste gate open hopefully all those 8-14psi runs hasn't damaged anything yet although the A/F never went over 12.5 in boost car was running a lot better then.
