Default Intro from Raleigh, NC!

Hi everyone, names Jake I live in Raleigh, Nc and i just got my first Miata in a trade!

Ill start with a little bit of back history!

It all started with a 2002 Saturn sc2. It was my first 5 speed car and it was nice dont get me wrong but i wanted to be in the import scene so it wasnt cutting it ha. I traded it for a 79 VW Bug and had a blast but with a severe lack or power i had to get rid of her. I then traded that for a 85 Monte Carlo ss that was a complete BOSS! 350 swap full boltons yada yada, well one thing led to another and i made the biggest mistake in my car history...i traded it for a gsr swapped eg sedan. Not dont get me wrong the sedan was a sick little car especially when you have a kid but it just wasnt the same. I got tired of it and traded it for a built 88 prelude (that was another mistake) and went on to sell that! I eventually bought a little 2003 s10 for $500 which was a steal because it ran and drove perfect was already lowered with a cowl hood and looked good but i traded that for the miata!!

So here we are today...

Wheels were plastidipped when i got it, it was cool for about a week then it had to go! I also added the front lip and lifted up the suspension a tad bit.
So here is how she sits today!

This car is hands down the most fun car i have ever owned and i really feel like it is one i will enjoy more than any! I can see myself putting lots of blood sweat and tears into this car and i cant wait to start!

Future plans: Replace the 1.6 diff because it is making noise. Already have a replacement just have to install it

Homemade turbo kit!
-Cast Manifold
-DSM turbo, something small so it spools fast
-ebay intercooler and pipping
-decent bov
-Megasquirt!

I have zero experience with turbo so i am gonna try and take it slow and get most parts used or ebay! Any advice or just general input will be appreciated!!

Welcome man, if it's the same car I saw on Craigslist, I was thinking about picking it up as a daily lol, did the kids listing say about him needing a bigger vehicle because he was having a kid? I remember the color, the wheels, and the low

Yeah i was considering selling being that i am having another kid but i have decided to keep it for now, i really want to try my hand at boosting it so we will see how that goes.

Yes he dipped with out masking off the wheels, when i got the car it was all good though, i did recently trade the wheels though for a some axis og's! They are only 15x7 but there in much better condition!
