And also clarify what an SP is. I understand that's the NB2 that Mazda Australia added a turbo to after importing from Hiroshima. That car is what the USDM Mazdaspeed was inspired by. Ours sucked, yours didn't.
Emilio - you're exactly right. There were 101 SP built in Australia to satisfy racing homologation requirements. The car arrived from Japan, they hung a GT2560R off the side and gave it a tune, producing ~150KW at the fly. Made for a really interesting drive!
Here's a much nicer photo. I don't want anyone thinking this car is being neglected (She has been off the road for about 2 years). The engine came out at the beginning of the year for a rebuild and some minor improvements after burning heaps of oil, and she'll hopefully be running again by Christmas.
