Default Hey ladies!

Where to start? Well I am 25 6'4" 200lbs (it's a tight fit...) my name is Kris. Back in 2007 I decided that since i was driving between 100-200 miles a day that i should get a beater. I wanted a fun beater though. The requirements were RWD and 4 cyl. that didn't leave me with too many options... mostly over priced "drift" cars. After searching the craigs list i found a 1990 miata with 173k miles on it in Mesa, AZ. I live in Tucson, AZ so I drove up there and took it for a spin. A cat was living in it and the passenger side was obviously his litter box... I'm a mechanical person but i never was taught or had the reason to drive a manual. $1200 later i was stalling and chirping my tires all the way back to Tucson. It was cold out and the soft top was ripped to shreds with duct tape all over... suffered big time!

I ripped the carpet out and changed the passenger seat to get rid of the cat **** smell.... replaced some trim and bezels. I then put some tein flex's on and drove it around like a maniac!! After about 6 months I had managed to lose all 4 of my hubcaps :-D...

I no longer drive 100-200 miles a day for that other job i intended on buying this for... but now i have a fun project!

Since then i've gotten a hard top, turboed with a 2560 begi mani/dp, exedy stage 2 clutch, 7" lsd out of an 05', 15x8 6ul's, intercooler, and more to come. I have an ms and lc-1 coming in the mail. After i get new injectors ill be all set! I did replace the old motor with a jdm one... I'm collecting parts to get a 1.8 stroked and built to replace down the road.

I'm a locksmith so 90% of the time i drive a crummy 1 ton dodge van around. It's nice to drive spirited when i get the chance! Anyway... i've been around the forum for a couple years and i've learned a lot. I kind of skipped the meet and great but here are a couple pics. before and after.

thanks. and thanks for all the compliments so far! here's a little more imagery... keep in mind i'm 6'4" and it was december with no top... i was in a t-shirt hunched over hiding behind the rolled up windows (i'm sure many miata-ers have done this on a misjudged day), while stalling, and chirping my tires lol.... and no cruise control either. I was in hell. The next day i drove a whole tank around town just to teach myself how to drive. I then realized that Miata's are terribly embarrassing learner cars. I'm 8" off the ground with no top and everyone can see the GIANT in a *** car, that doesn't know how to drive a manual. Oh the light is green? I didn't know thanks for the honk to let me know. :: starts car back up :: It was awesome.

Dude, MSM's were made from 04-05. 06 was the first year of the NC, the completely new car.

You're not special at all now.
