I haven't tracked it YET but the car was tracked before I bought it. Been to Hallett a couple times and I think that's it. Will probably go to Hallett next summer as MATG and car upgrades and 60k mile service will occupy my money this summer. Lol

Yep, I'm planning on it. I'll hopefully be locally autox-ing either mine or my boyfriends (or both ) before too long. But I'm REALLY looking forward to tracking it. So anxious! I love driving that damn thing. It's addicting. Lol

To answer your question, Braineak is the right guy to talk to about having a Megasquirt built. He can custom tailor it to your specifications. The stock computer contains the voltage regulator for the alternator on the 99 and newer cars. If you run standalone with the Megasquirt you need to switch to an internally regulated alternator from an earlier Miata, or handle it in some other way, but that is no big deal.
And please excuse the kids, they still get a little giggly around girls.

Alright. Thanks a lot for clearing that up for me. I was thinking of running standalone but haven't made the decision yet. I just wanna make sure that its installed and tuned correctly and with as little heartache as possible. Lol

Well, the work going into tuning it is irrelevant to me. I'll be paying my local performance shop to tune it for me and may do some tweaking on it myself eventually. I'm just wanting to get a good, reliable set up going.
