Greetings from SC
Hello all,
I guess it's time that I actually posted something here. I realized today that I've technically been a member of the forum for 5 years and still never posted anything. I guess the main reason is that I don't spend a ton of time on forums and I'm actually pretty good with searching. There's definitely a lot of good information here and it's almost always my goto forum when I need to figure something out.
I'm an engineer with FSAE experience from college, so I know a little about engine tuning and a lot about suspension tuning from there. I also have a lot of fabrication and mechanical design experience. However right now, I'm working in more of an industrial engineering job in the automotive industry.
I've had my 2001 BRG since 2008 and I've been slowly upgrading it, mostly as things need to be relpaced. As it stands right now: Flyin Miata suspension package (Tokiko's, sways), stainless lines on all the hydraulics, Carbotech pads, hardtop, and I just bought some Konig Wideopen wheels (15x8,+20) and Azeni's after I busted a couple wheels in the mountains.
I'm sure I'll be asking a few more questions in the future here. Right now, I'm planning out my Megasquirt build and after that, turbo-charging and I expect it to be a long process, since I try to do things incrementally. I've actually got a Megasquirt I that I built to go on another car that I'll be upgrading to MS3X and using.
She definitely needs some paintwork in the near future. My other toy is a 2013 BMW F800GS hiding under the cover. Excuse the poor picture:
Greetings,
John
