Greetings from eternal summer-land Arizona
Hello all, my name is Quinn and I reside in good ol' sunny Arizona where it is currently a cool 72 degrees out. I live in Surprise but will be moving to the Scottsdale/Tempe area in a couple weeks. I am 24 and I'm a pretty simple guy, I work as a bookkeeper for a Kroger chain grocery store. I spend most my time off work reading the forums, working on my car and playing the occasional video game.
I first fell in love with Miatas when I was a junior in high school. I dated a girl who owned a little red 91 that was bone stock. We took that car everywhere and I always drove (mostly because I loved driving it but also because it was a horrifying experience in the passenger seat). Her whole family was into tracking and I went to my first track weekend with them later that year and got to ride along in her brothers turbo Miata. If I loved these cars before I was now obsessed.
That girlfriend is long gone, but that's fine since I have a Miata of my own now. I have owned a 99 base model for two years and it's been great. I lurked on here for the first year just trying amass as much knowledge as possible and finally joined about a year ago. I've made a couple of the obligatory noob posts, bought a few used parts and just read read read. I like to think I'm a little wiser to forum etiquette now but I'm sure I'll get flamed at some point for some good reason
The car is no longer stock. I made my first big purchase a year and half ago when I got some FM Vmaxx coilovers and sway bars. Wow what a difference. Next came the 15x8 6ul's, some summer street tires and a sweet mismatched hard top. I've wanted to slap a turbo on the car since day one and last July I finally took the plunge. I picked up the full MKTurbo kit from Lars because it matched my budget and power goals, plus the MSPNP Pro which I already had my eye on.The car has been on MS for about two months now and it's been an uphill battle, but I'm making progress one thread at a time.
I'm about to head out to the car to do some tuning now and figured since I have my laptop out I might as well make that meet and greet post I've been putting off for so long now. So thank you to everyone on here for the infinite amount of threads that I have read and learned from, I've got a very long way to go but I'm happy to have such a large community full of people who share a passion and are kind enough to share the knowledge that they have acquired. Was that a little to gushy? I suck at writing these long winded about me things (probably why no girls hit me up on plenty of fish )
Anyway, nice to officially meet and greet all of you. I can't wait to join the choir of Miatas singing the song of our people!
And here is a picture of the multi colored babe

I can grow a pretty mean **** stache and I own a .22 so a little but of both. Although I couldn't see John Wayne toting that thing so.
Porno: 1
Cowboy: 0?
Nah just ps4 overwatch and such. I plan to join the pc master race this year. My brother keeps bugging me to build a rig, so hopefully when some funds free up.

No, manual with a soft top. if you're thinking you may have seen it at the track the car they typically used was a smurf blue na. Pretty sure it had the voodoo II in it considering it seemed to be pretty unreliable on track and I don't ever remember them whipping out a laptop, but I knew next to nothing about any of this back then so...

No awhile ago I bought a red auto NA with hard top, the trans was low on fluid, so they thought the trans was trashed, I got it for a steal, kept the hard top, put a couple quarts of trans fluid in and sold it for what I bought it for two days later sans hard top.
I can only think of one smurf blue turbo car from awhile ago, I think last name Niemeyer?

Damn that is steal! Yeah that's the family. Strange question is your name Ravi? My friend had an engine swap done a while back at performance shop him and a buddy ran a couple years ago and he was one of the techs/organizers(?) that denied their sunburst M edition because they tried passing it with just a beauty bar. He remembered it because of the big ***** wagon sticker on the back haha.

That engine swap was probably when Ravi was at RC's garage? That's the only place that I know of that has an Integra with gold plated ITB's, that belonged to the shop owner RC I think. Ravi hasn't worked there in awhile, and now has two NSX's, one is a street car and one is a caged racecar. The racecar we picked up as a shell with parts in boxes in Ohio, bolted on enough stuff to make it a roller again in one day, then we loaded it up and took it home. We drove straight there and straight back, only stayed in one hotel for like 6 hours and it was during that "Polar Vortex" storm. That trip was ridiculous.

Nope I'm Aaron. But Ravi and I go way back. That blue turbo Miata got painted purple, went N/A for awhile, then turbo again, it was fast. They sold it to Austin Newmark who is also on this forum, he raced it for a year, almost won West Coast NASA nationals in ST4, now it's up for sale again for like 25 grand.

Thats nut's, and some serious dedication i'm sure it was great deal. Once I get a little more savvy around the engine bay and just the general buying and what to look for process I'd love to do something like that with a friend.

My brothers got an old setup that would probably be fine with a few upgrades so I'll definitely hit you up whenever I get it up and running.
