Default French Canadian Ex-Stancefag checking in

Oh hai MT.net

Been lurking for year and a half now and had a small amount of posts.

I never introduced myself but having some spare time and enjoying my turbo'd Miata.. I think it's the right time.

Living in Montreal, Canada ... YES, french is my first language.

Been a Miata owner for the last 3-4 years. Picked up the car from an old man. Paid too much and needed some mechanical love (body was fine)... but it was Mariner Blue.

First mod was Riceland...

... then everything a stancefag ricer would install on his Miata. So I'll just post a final picture of what the car looked like at the end of last year.

I got the turbo kit installed last year and it changed my mind completely about the Miata.

Having a nice turbo setup but with a shitty suspension and seeing all the new Miata stancefags showing in the meet aka Challenge Pissing Contest ... I decided that I had enough of the "scene". FYI, I had some seat time with the Ricelands, enough to tell you that it's not made for TA/lapping.

So I was ready for a make-over... to finaly enjoy the Miata like it should.

Installed flares, got myself Fortune Auto 500 9K/7K w/ Swift Spring, 225/45 RS3, Sparco Sprint, etc

The car feels great now. I'm not saying that it's a perfect setup.. far from that.. but I think I'm in the right direction.

Here's the car two weeks ago when I was at Calabogie racetrack (1h30 from Ottawa) for a two days and a half intensive racing school. Best decision ever, I know how do drive my car now.

Cheers!

Good to hear that some are seeing the light. The first picture looks like it's right out of the CR #Swag package thread.

But that's OK. Everyone is young once and does stupid things to their car. You wouldn't want to see what I did to my first Miata back when Fast and Furious first came out.

Looking good man, glad to see you using a miata for more than scraping subframe and attracting dudebros.

Any more pics of the car with the flares? Mariner blue ftw.

Welcome! the car is actually in great shape.... and aside from the too much low-ness, it doesnt seem to have the swagstance retarded camber. so, that makes it a little bit better. the car itself (ie:everything on top of the wheels) actually looks really good. Why does your car wear a backwards hat??? lol

Listened and still listen too much of Limp Bizkit. I wanted to give my car that Fred Durst look.

Thanks for all the good comments

Backwards hat and all, that's actually a sexy picture ^.

No! THANK YOU Braineack for all the stuff you did and still doing for that community. My quest for a easy and reliable turbo Miata wouldn't have been the same without all those post/informational post/FAQ you did.
