I am Sezgin from PHX AZ, long time forum viewer finally decided to join. I have 3 Miatas. 1990 X 2 and a 1996. In the process of a turbo build on one of the 1990s. Bought the car for $750 just needed a fuel pump drove it for about 40K miles and the head gasket finally gave out at 225K miles. It will be a built engine (engine not back yet) with head work, I decided to paint the body myself, wife wanted black with bronze wheels. I upgraded the brakes all 4 corners with Wilwood FM kit with Megan racing coil overs, Torsen LSD, 05 trans. I have never done anything this involved, a learning process for sure. Not sure if it was a good idea not to build on a engine that was running and in the car. I anticipate this will a learning process with frustrations along the way.
Here is the build parts list.
1990 frame
2005 engine
84 MM Supertech pistons
Manley con-rods
74# Supertech springs
Super tech intake and exhaust valves
ARP studs
Cometic gasket
FAB 9 V-band turbo manifold
EFR 6758 turbo
Boundary 4 shim oil pump
Oil cooler
FM Oil filter relocation kit
Skunk 2 intake manifold
Skunk 2 TB
Deatschwerks 700 CC injectors
MS3pro
other engine/turbo bits.
Welcome to the forum. Are you planning on doing track days?
Thanks for the welcome. I am seriously considering tracking it, I think I have a solid starting off point with my build. At the moment I will be happy with driving it after a year long project, work out the gremlins focus on reliability.
Nice build list! If you want to save some $$ the flat top euro / jdm spec intake manifold supposedly is like 80% of a Skunk2 with nearly identical dyno numbers for half the price without some of the fitment issues I've heard about the skunk2.
Right on, I'm over in Chandler. There's a handful of us from AZ on here and you're in the right spot to learn. Lots of good info on here.
If you're looking to do any track days there are two main orgs that run here, NASA AZ and ProAutoSports. We're lucky enough to have multiple local tracks here so getting started is pretty easy.

Teşekkürler abi, burada birçok faydalı bilgi var. Sanırım arabam yaklaşık 6 ay içinde çalışacak, istediğimden daha uzun çünkü Mart ayında Türkiye'ye gideceğim ve 1 aylığına ziyaret edeceğim.
