Chris' Intro
Hi Guys - been lurking on here for awhile, picking up tips and tricks for my normally aspirated 90, but I hadn't made my introduction.
I'm from Dallas, and have met and run with most of the TxMC crew. My background is in enterprise software consulting, and I currently run an outsourced application management group for a reporting software company.
I picked up my Miata 2 years ago after it had sat in a field for a few years and slowly wasted away, so the last couple of years have been spent reconditioning and upgrading it into a track car. It started as a bone stock early 90 (VIN sequence is 000653) with a late NA motor and the big nose crank. The chassis shows 156k.
It's still sporting the same motor, but I've done suspension (Monoflex - XIDA didn't exist then, dammit), sways, AC delete, PS rack depowered, header, cat delete, exhaust, spec stage 2+ clutch with light flywheel and pp, aluminum radiator, ultrashields and harnesses for driver and passenger, roll bar and door bars. Over the summer, it got squirted and Hustler did the tune.
This week is adding 100 pounds of lightness to go along with the new horsepower.
Obligatory pics
