Ah, the necessary FNG post
Whelp, my name is Jay and I just purchased this car
https://www.miataturbo.net/cars-sale...00-firm-77615/
It is my first miata and my first car with a power adder. Should be a fun learning curve!
My car background is 3rd gen camaro's and firebirds.
I bought this car to try and slay some cones at my local auto-x venue.
It does help that this car has working AC since I live in SW FL.
If anyone is local and wants to meet up, I am usually available during the week.
Can't wait to dive into the forums and do some searching!

its funny that you say that.... I was driving down the interstate yesterday, with the top down sweating my butt off and there was a 4th gen firebird...... I so wanted to roll up on 'em and let the angry pigeon say hello
and yes, searching is my favorite activity on the forums. Every question I have had so far has been found in a search.... no need to ask it for the millionth time..
Thank you for the welcome peeps!

You got a freaking killer deal on that car, just so you know.
Put an intercooler on it and turn up the boost safely (after adding Torsen) and you'll be in great shape. How's the car run and drive now? Peachy?
Seriously. Nice job.

Figures that would be a weekend..... I work fulltime on the weekends... Grrrrr
Friendly hazing comments huh? thanks!
Everyone keeps telling me that. It is a blast to drive.
that is the plan to add an intercooler one day, but it won't be until this winter.
And a huge thanks to Boris. He originally sent me the link to the car on this forum. Reading everything here gave me the confidence to buy it.
In other words, this will all be Boris's fault...... lol

So a little update.....
I've been searching a lot, and fixed the intermittent no start issue.
Butt connectors should not be used in the ignition wiring. I found 3 butt connectors on one wire right off the ignition switch; one of which fell apart in my hand.....
also did an oil change using the Rotella T6 5w-40
eventually I will start posting elsewhere on the forum.... lol
