97' M-edition owner saying hello!
Hey guys,
Been a member of these boards for a little while, and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dan. I currently own a 97' Miata M-edition. Purchased it in February 2011 completely stock and have done quite a bit of work to it.. Now on to power. I did a lot of research and decided to go with a Moss Motors MP62 Supercharger set up which is currently on order and should arrive and be on the car by the end of next week. (I know it's a turbo Miata forum)
Anyway, here is the car as it stands today.

My son and I looked at superchargers first...I didn't like what I saw!
My understanding of the superchargers is they make quite a bit of heat for the power they make, which is very little in the way of horsepower, and are totally unreliable?
From my experience on multiple V8 builds they beat the bejezuz out of your bottom end.
I also am a noob here, and I am a definite miata noob, but I have lurked long enough to know there are a lot of guys that started with superchargers and ended up switching to turbo.
The EFR 6258/trackspeed setup is probably a better supercharger in terms of throttle response and makes 325 or so horsepower on the top end....No supercharger I am aware of can keep up with that little beauty.
I would do some more homework if I was you.
If you already own it...best of luck and ignore my comments!
Cheers,
Jamie
