[F]irst post, please be gentle
Hi everyone,
My name is Justin, and I have a 1997 Montego Blue. I'm building it into a track car, but it's my daily as of right now. I've lurked this place since before I bought my car, the direction I went with it was influenced by people on this board.
Here's where all my money went:
Tien Street Advance with NB tophats (9kg/6kg) I'm not 100% on these. Sleeved Bilstiens would be ideal.
Eibach sway bar with shitty Jackson Racing links
7" 6ULs with RE11-As in 205/50/R15
Hardcore Hardtop M2 bar
Stripped interior
Voodoo shift **** (really ties it all together.)
Sitting in a box in the garage are:
FM frame rails
T1 Torsen
Exedy 12lb flywheel
OEM clutch
I'm returning the clutch, because right next to that box is a Mazdaspeed engine that I bought for $300. The engine has what I am assuming is around 40,000 miles on it, because it is spotless under the valve cover. The guy I bought it from said that it ran when it was pulled, but I'm gonna take it apart and give it a mild rebuild, and eventually swap it into my car. I'll make a build thread when the time comes, but in the mean time, I'll be searching and collecting parts, which is like, 95% of what I do anyways.
Obligatory Instagram shot:

Thanks guys!
It might just be the springrate in the rear, but they are really bouncy in the back. Not visibly noticable like Racelands, but you can feel it. They're fantastic in the bends, but I feel like I might have lowered the car too much with them. I'm 4-4.5" F/R, so I bottom out occasionally.
