Took some pics of my friend's cappy civic
My friend is leaving for the Navy soon so I decided to snap a few quick pics of his car when he came over today (and it stopped raining, finally) to share with my favorite homos.
It's a 90's something Honda POS with a K24-a4(?) bottom end, K20-a2 head, Precision 6262, Precision v-band wastegate, side mount manifold, 3" exhaust, K-Pro and some other stuff like traction bars, etc...
Last dyno was 522whp and 404wtrq. It's one and only purpose is to go fast in a straight line and embarrass people. I have never seen a car struggle so hard to stay on the road before.
Custom stereo and interior
A short clip. This is 60-ish to 140 (I think). Watch in 480p for HIGH DEFINITION

It ain't cheap, but it is really impressive. The power to weight ratio on this car is unreal since it's barely scraping 2000lbs. It's his daily, too.

F20/K20 with boost is absolutely nuts. I keep dreaming of an s2000 with a 35r or 40r or something equally nasty, but then remember how much it would cost, and how little lowend torque it would have (even with boost), and all of a sudden my miata seems like the more logical choice.
And yes, they are rolling coffins lol. Probably just as bad as a 300+ miata with terrible tires though

lol, one step at a time man. It's gonna get painted some stock color.
Not yet. His trans is dying.
lol, I'm the same way. I rag on him all the time and use the same **** that we all use to put Honda people down, "Can't ******* turn, POS **** box that gets stolen..blah..blah..blah" But then a nice pull on the highway and you have a grin from ear to ear.
2000lbs + 522whp/404wtrq + open diff = not safe
Pretty much how I feel about it. I'm not an s2k fan at all, but there is a point where the motors are so good that you would make an exception. The torque on this car is absolutely nuts, though. The turbo is a .63a/r 6262 and a 6spd trans, so it's really snappy and 404wtrq is enough to move that **** box pretty well.
Exactly. I know my super HD camera didn't pick it up that well, but you can see the car change lanes multiple times during the pull. It was actually frightening because he was trying so hard to stay in it so I could get it on video, lol.
This was on 205's, 15x7 wheels and an open diff. It hooks in 5th.
Yes, lol. We give him so much **** for it. He doesn't care, though. He just wants to go fast.
****. Holset/Precision time. I'm ready for it.

I know lots of people that are not interested in spending 10 grand just so people will ********** over the engine bay of a 20 year old civic.
Im being such a hater because:
1) 97.3% of K swaps are rice. Serving no other purpose than to be "baller".
2) The K is nowhere near as good as people say it is.
3) There are LOTS of better engine options for a pre-2001 Civic that are more reliable, lighter, make more power, are way cheaper and most importantly they actually FIT.
