Default Shelby GT350R project @ BFW - track day function / car show form, much 'Murica!

All the Red, White and Blue you can handle, and then some!

Just made another customer very happy for choosing Blackbird Fabworx.
This time we were entrusted with a brand new
Shelby GT350R Shelby GT350R
, 526 ponies on tap and just 9xx miles on the clock

We took this beauty and added a custom welded in half cage, fabricated seat mounts for a pair of Cobra Evolution Technology Carbon seats, installed a pair of Schroth 8 point hybrid harnesses and our brand new fire extinguisher kit.
Beyond the function of all safety features, our design features boost this setup's visual appeal.

Clean trimming of the interior panels, nice and tight fit -

The cage was powder coated high gloss White and we then took the (long) time to stripe it in a perfect match to the
OEM racing stripes OEM racing stripes
.
We even installed the harnesses alternating the belts colors to continue the theme of the Red / Blue racing stripes.
The end result being a setup that will not only greatly increase the safety of the occupants on track, but well worthy of winning a car show.

The fire extinguisher kit is a direct bolt on that works with both OEM and racing seats (does not limit travel of OEM sliders), can be installed on either driver or passenger sides and finished with our traditional
Pearl Gunmetal Gray Pearl Gunmetal Gray
powder coat -

Form and function, no need to choose

9 points.
Surprise, surprise, they do exist as well.

8 pointers are actually the nicest harnesses for dual purpose cars when you run a HANS device on track and street drive the car.
The 3" body belt is more comfortable than the 2" HANS belt, so the 8 point models set the 3" body belt on your shoulders, then the HANS and the 2" HANS belt on top, resulting in a VERY comfortable setup.

I've tried to bate a few of these into a highway pull while i've been on the bike and in the red car. None have bitten.
This engine is one of my top 3 favorite sounding v8 engines.

That is unbelievably sexy! Do you have before and after weights? Also, can you explain the 9-point restraints? I see the double shoulder straps, but how do the double hip straps work?

9 point belts have double shoulders and triple anti submarine belts, lap belts are still a normal one on each side.
The routing of the 3 anti sub straps is similar to both 6 and 5 point belts, with the sixers they go backwards and the 5 it straight down.
