some fall photos... (XSi , 50 prime, tripod, minimal editing)
And a semi-failed HDR attempt
Advice? I think some of them may be a bit too saturated, and IK the lighting was still a bit harsh and washed out the sidewalls of the tires. Not bad for a quick pull off the road shoot tho.

Got some new wheels. I am boring and unoriginal.
Since I need new paint anyway, what do you guys suggest so that I don't look like every other Miata everywhere? I do like the pic in Doppelganger's sig, a metallic dark grey is at the top of my list right now if I end up changing the color.

You can't have that color, because then you'll look like me, and we're simply too close to each other.
Doppleganger's car is Ti Gray, like mine. Though... his is 02, so very slightly different shade.
By the way... i'm reasonably sure i've seen you driving around a few times, unless there's far more red NBs with the small tupperware in Indy than i think.

My poz rod as of a few months ago. I drove down a 2+ mile dirt road with her to get to this camp site, gotta love CO.
And.. me pulling my "new" motor from the 99 car I got it from. Got to drive the car and compression test the motor before pulling it. It's going into my car this winter.. with a new turbo setup
And I'm painting my car this winter. Ill try and take some pics and start a build thread for my 3rd build/rebuild.. haha.

Unfortunately, i've been forced to drive the Miata the last week or two after destroying one of the lock cylinders on my MX6. Gotta go pick up my new parts car this weekend to tear it apart and crush it, i'll get new locks off of that one.
Small Tupperware = small sideskirts

In proper lighting, and not in pictures, the car looks more like my sig than the pic below.
And a recent pic.

26G vs 29Y. 29Y is the MSM grey which is lighter/a bit more blue and has a smaller flake. The 25G (mine) was used only in 02 and 03 and is noticable darker in person compared to the 26Y (MSM). Don't ask. My front bumper is more like 29Y. In some lighting it's almost the same, in others, it's very different. In a lot of my pics, I have edited the bumper to match by tinting.

How does it show dirt? That is one thing I like about the red (vs white and black) is that I don't have to wash it twice a week for it to look good. My grand prix that was my first car was dark forest green (looked black to me lol i'm a bit color blind) and it was a pain in the ***. So it looked like **** most of the time. My Audi was red, and so it usually looked quite good even if I went a month without a wash.
Because of the **** paint on this car, I haven't washed it in the year-and-a-half I have owned it. I feel so dirty.
Also do you have a build thread somewhere? I have looked before but couldn't find it.

Just got the car up and running again in time for an amazing day to drive and shoot.
