Miata at.......Bonneville Salt Flats?
Yup! As part of our vacation, we stopped by Salt Lake City and made a run out to Bonneville and snapped a couple pics off

Unfortunately we were there the weekend prior to the events. I did get some pics of the guys prpping the track though. I was surprised that it takes them a week to groom the flats before an event!
Another thing I learned about being out west in the dry air and high altitude... I need to install my coolant re-route before going WOT for multiple gears :(

how can you possibly expect your car to make-it on a road trip with your manifold breakage propensity?
I really want to get my car sorted and drive it all the way up to Idaho for a hill climb with an old friend one I get the manifold drama sorted.
Cool trip and awesome pics.

Well, I figured I wouldn't be too far from FM except at the beginning and the end of the trip and if I had any problems help wasn't too far away. Also, I did the trak day, pounded on the car on backroads and spent many hours above 4K rpm and all the nuts on the manifold are still tight
'appreciate it sir.

Nice, makes me wish i had made the trip. I'm on my way home from CO and sitting in sportsbar having dinner in the middle of nowhere, SD. Have a room for the night and should be home by noon tomorrow.
I finally wimped out and put the top up and turned on the AC today. Too much sun and heat the last week.

well, considering I haven't bolted a turbo to my car since early june, I can't exactly drive it anywhere. Soon, the v-band party will change my life and it will me gloriously reliable and I'll rape and spit all over the region.
