Red and black leather!!! Man, I have not seen one of those in years....I'd imagine there are only a handful of those Roadster Editions left since there were only a few to begin with. It's OK in the lack of spelling and punctuation, I'm sure everyone at MIT is lazy about little details like that. Oh hey man, I'll be in Boston next weekend and I'd like to check out the ride since I've only seen one Miata Roadster Edition in person. I can meet you over by the school or around town.

sorry man i wish my ride was in Boston but my home town is Portland Oregon, and right now my ride is parked in my dads garage. If it was with me i totally would let you take it for a spin, get some feed back from a fellow enthusiast. I think i got some pictures i took right before i started making my mods, ill check when i get home.

hey MSMjohn do you know how to double clutch? i couldn't tell if you were or not, but if you double clutch and keep high RPM's through the turn, you can keep your Turbo spooled up and get quicker acceleration out of those turns.

thats the way to doit for sure, but then you have to worry about blowing the cam bearing out from all that high rpm abuse! just remember that these are good engines, but not F20Cs!

I am a student at MIT newb. I know I am the only one there or in boston that has a roadster edition miata. I call BS on you. I have a flyin miata hydra 3 and 4 inch exhaust and only make 270rwhp at 15psi so we all know youre lying.

That's a good point you gotta be careful when your doing things like that especially when you add all the mods it can really put extra wear and stress on your engine... its so hard for me to resist driving like i race, every time i get into that cockpit and start that engine, the car is just taunting me.
#52
maybe if you double clutch youw ill be ok.
Wait, how do you double clutch on up shifts? And why does that make you faster? I forget. I don't double clutch it might break your motor or the diff bushing.

its an FM 2 Hydra, and like i said ive made some of my own personal mods to the computer chips, plus there is no point in running a 4 inch exhaust its over kill.

I hear that, but honestly with my cars I tend to run into problems with the chassis before the enignes give out. I have honestly never blown an intake or cam bearing. For me stuff like passenger-side floor pans seem to let go first. Weird I know, but hey, thats just how it is in this game.
#55
you don't, double clutching is a downshift technique its used to keep rpm's high so that you can get faster, greater measurements of torque out of your engine when accelerating out of turns.

For downshifting you'd be talking about "heel - toeing" or "rev matching".... google it.

Nah guys. Granny shifting (even with phase IV heel and toe technique) is not as effective. We might all live our loves 1/4 mile at a time, but personally I want my stuff to last a bit longer LolZ.
