FSAE Michigan '09
We got back from competing at Michigan International Speedway last Sunday, and I think I can speak for everyone when I say that we had a blast. Our team did an amazing job for having the resources that we had, but unfortunately we were unable to finish the endurance race due to a $1.50 part (or lack thereof). We finished mid pack, 63rd out of 118, and if we would have completed the endurance, even last place, we would have had a mid thirties finish.
Anyways, onto the pictures.
So the drive was supposed to be 18hrs, but somehow took us 30. We had our fun on the way though. We did find out that the Kia Sorrento is a beast on the highway, and neither Dodge Caravan nor V6 Camaro stood a chance.
Upon arrival at our Motel 6 in Jackson Michigan, work immediately started on the final prep of the car.
And the first morning, trying to get the car ready for tech.
Sitting on the grid, waiting for our turn on the autocross.
Some of the guys getting me harnessed in for my runs.
Sitting at the start line waiting for the green flag.
Leaving the line.
And out on the track.
Nate during the endurance.
Tu Graz took first place in every category, and it is easy to see why.
And some pictures of the other teams.
And a few group photos.
Us all expressing our distaste for differential C-clips.
