The 3.1 is fun but god damn it's a lot of track to learn in 4-sessions. It was cool to reel in the TTS/U and ***-pound the TTA cars on the 1.3 side, then wave goodbye on the 1.7. I found myself giving up space around Little Bend so I'd have space on the 1.3 to run clean.

That was stupid fun this weekend. All objectives were achieved: The car and I came back in one piece, I improved, I had a great time, and I obtained my TT license. Hell thanks to one of the NASA gang (Chris) I even got to sample what may be my new favorite beer, Unibroue Terrible.
The 3.1 mile course is fantastic. I love it.

Last session of the day, tired, sawing the wheel, jazz hands, forgetting braking points. I cleaned-up a bit at 9:00 when I gave the TTS and TTA cars behind me some space.
I wish I watched this earlier in the day, I would have fixed some nasty habits and gone much faster.

Jeff, it was posted what the plan was here and on supermiata.com
If you had beat the street guys with a street class car, you may have gotten a trophy. Besides, I didn't know you wanted to run TxMC. You didn't last event for some reason.
Which brings up something. I need to know who's running in the morning so I can get the
Laptimes from timing and scoring or from traqmate/GPStimers if you have those. I will put a sheet on my window with a pen. If I'm not there write your name, class, car#, and I'll catch up with you. I'm going to go through all the MC rules and add or amend the few different rules/procedures for TxMC on our forum on supermiata.com
It's not as big of a deal right now, but if we plan to grow this thing, we need to follow these basics to stop a fluster cuck, or other shitty things from happening.
Anywho, results and event report to follow later today when I can get to a computer.
Btw, I had a blast with y'all this weekend and msrc 3.1 rocks! it's even more fun than 1.7
But definitely takes more than 4 sessions to figure out.

The new front brakes did very well so I did not have any worries there any more. After two days (8 sessions) I went through about 1/2 the pad material so I need to keep a spare set of pads with me. But at $80 a set for DTC-70s, so effin what?! The Corrado rotors also still look great.

YouTube video of a Sunday session, complete with spin. There is some footage of Dan in here as well.
This was shot with a #3 808 keychain camera in 720p. I figured out after the event that it was not adjusted for infinite focus by the factory. Notice how unfocused distant objects are, and how well focused the grass is at the end of the video LOL.
The black specs of stuff that flash by in the video is bits of tire rubber flying off of the track.

cool vid. i should have used my keychain cam. i had it with me but it wasn't charged and i ended up just using my phone which combined with youtube made for poopy quality. lol... might wanna skip the first half, it's just the warm up lap and i usually take the second one pretty easy also, till my tires are warmed up.

Oh SNAP!
Looking at that video at my spin it looks pretty much like it felt. I went in way too deep, trail braked too much to compensate, lost grip, and ran out of track.
