Default Texas track rats?

Any Texas (Dallas) track rats? Which group do you run the track with?

I'm in College Station, run at Texas World Speedway (TWS) with the Motorsports Club as often as possible. Next event is in April.

I'm going to try to get the Miata out on the track this year. I've done hundreds (if not over 1000) laps at TWS during bike track days and CMRA endurance racing over the last few years. It would be fun to see if I could beat my best bike lap, a 1:57 on the 2.9 mile course. That is a fun and FAST track, the fastest one we race on by far.

So what is the scoop on getting car track time at MSRH and MSRC without being a member or knowing a member? Do they have open track days like the bikes do? I've done a lot of laps on MSRC and a few on MSRH, again on a race bike. Best time so far at MSRC is a 1:24.

I'm in Austin. I usually run w/ MSC and LSR PCA for TWS. TDE for anywhere else.

the drivers edge has events at MSRC and eagles canyon as well as the mav region PCA. The only group i know of that runs DE's at MSRH is NASA.

I usually run with Apex Academy. They offer one day sessions at MSRC. I am a member at Eagles Canyon. I heard good things about the new track in Austin area.

take me to ECR. We probably know each other. I run at Hallett more than anywhere else, especially since I worked in OKC for 9 months. I run Apex if I have to for some track time, but I'd rather just get out there and run.

Me = college student.

The MSC group is the only club I know of that offers a work/drive program where I can drive the track on one day, and corner work the other as an even trade. Can't afford entry fees to other tracks or I would be going everywhere, especially Hallett. I've run with the Drivers Edge group before, but found it was more of guys with lots of money but not lots of talent.
