What a joke this was on Sunday.
I really hated the fact that people brought their kids with and it seemed like every car that you could open the door and sit it was being used as a jungle gym. Ridiculous.
There were also a lot of people talking like they were car guys, but you could tell they were bullshitters. I mean, there were cool cars there, I just didn't like the atmosphere. Pennsylvania is a different breed of car people than the Las Vegas SEMA show.
SEMA: You're taking a photo of a car and a total stranger would stop pedestrians from walking in front of your camera, and everybody was polite. People showed respect and it was REAL car people.
Philly: Oh, did you want to take a photo of that Lamborghini? Well you'll have to wait until my 4 year old is done climbing all over the console.
The best part of my day was going to Teresea's Next Door Bar in Wayne to eat an Antelope burger and drink a Russian River Pliny the Elder.
Then I got behind a loud as hell GTO on the way home, and I blew off next to him. We ended up roll racing. Obviously I got smoked, but the dude was cool enough to chat with me at the local Sheetz and talk cars. For a guy with a loud @SSed GTO that probably runs in the low 12's, he sure was diggin my car and was cool to talk to.
Obviously he wasn't at the Philly Auto Show, because he was apparently an actual car guy.

That about sums these shows up. Nice if you want to buy a car and look at the different makes and models. Not nice if you hate children.
We didnt have the GT-R at ours, and most of the cars I wanted to sit in were locked. Like the BRZ or even the Audi S5.

Gt-R is meh. I saw like a thousand of them at SEMA. Audi S5 is hot. They had a yellow Lexus LFA...that was nice. Then of course there were Fugly new camaros everywhere.
They had a cut open Fiat 500 engine...that was pretty cool to see that technology. All in all, you're right Scott...for new car selection it was nice. For lack of parental respect, it was BS.
