The Pagoda Hill Climb...be there.
Check this link out, because this just may be the coolest event in the Eastern Pennsylvania area.
There is no charge to watch, and I remember hearing speeds of over 130mph have been achieved. If you search youtube for "Pagoda Hill Climb" there are many videos. Check it out!

Pagoda Hillclimb
The 2011 Pagoda Hillclimb will be held on June 25-26. This will be a "new" Pagoda Hillclimb with the starting line moved downhill to the traditional Duryea Start, and the Finish line moved uphill to a point halfway between Turns 9 and 10. Turnaround will be at the Pagoda parking/overlook area. Length of the new course is about 1.3 miles.

If you pay by check, please know that BMR does not cash your check until AFTER the event. So, register early and secure your spot at what could be a sold out event.

I topped out around 180kph at a local HC last month. And that was with a straight MUCH longer than posted. Some cars will hit 200 and most people are consistently b/w 160-190kph, but I doubt anyone coming near 130mph at the Pagoda consistently. Perhaps once in a while with some extreme car that shows up.

Here's a few random photos of the cars that were at the Pagoda Hill Climb. I didn't get any good footage of cars running the course, so that sucks.
My favorite car was the Austin Mini. It had an antique plate, which meant it was street legal, but it was right hand drive and the whole interior was gutted except for the cage, 1 seat, and a steering wheel and a tach. This is what I crave as a daily driver due to the fact that I am hardcore.
Enjoy!
