So, who's in for this?
Leaving Toronto on this Friday morning, taking the scenic route (the one with as many corners as possible) to arrive at Fontana on Sunday. I'll be spending the week scaring myself on the local roads with some buddies. Watch for a silver NB with a whole load of triangular holes in the nose - that'll be me.

OHHHH, well that makes sense.
If you get a chance make a trip toward Blairsville, GA hwy 19/129. It's a fun 3-lane twisty road with low traffic. It's about an hours drive from Robbinsville.
If you don't mind bumpiness, try happy valley. It's the road right before Foothills parkway, heading toward Maryville. It'll end up in either Townsend or Maryville.
The road from Cade's Cove to Gatlinburg can be fun, but there's always too much traffic.

I've done those roads and, last year, on the way down Wayah road we hit construction or an accident or something and peeled off on a side road which turned out to be the coolest twisty narrow road through the hills. Tried to find it on a map without luck, maybe it was just a dream.

I suppose theres some un-mapped roads in the Smokies.
For anyone interested, there's a local car meet happening that Friday night in downtown Knoxville. "UTDM" is what they call it. About year and half ago it was fairly big, 100+ cars each night I think the record was near 200. All sorts of cars there, kind of like IA but less Honda dominance.
It's about a 40 minute drive from the Gap, I'll gladly lead anyone who wants to go. I might see if some of the guys there want to head back up to the Gap for a little night run.
Could be fun, mix it up with other cars while your in East TN.
