this is the kind of bullshit which justifies getting rid of my ****. MY ******* CAR NEVER ******* GOD DAMN **** **** *** RUNS. EVER! It never ******* works, and when it does it breaks, so there is no point in trying motorsports anymore so I'm going to start playing Badminton.

Seriously? Come on man, you are so close. You are on the cusp of victory, sexy umbrella girls, parties at the Playboy Mansion, and supermodel orgies.

on that note. my car ran great for a year and a half. couldn't tell you how many trackdays,auto-x,drag,and rally-x days i did. then as soon as i'm ready to run nasa time trials, my car breaks, and breaks, and then it breaks and it's something mysterious. my buddy's that i have been bugging about goin' to the track with me finally decide to go. and i miss the first 3 events. well then i get the car running and go to an auto-x to make sure it's good. welded diff finally blows up. buy a new diff get it installed, and find out the tranny got killed also! now it's the day before the next nasa event. all my friends are going. i borrow a tranny from a friend. pull eveything back apart put the new tranny in along with a few other new parts. it's 6:30am day of event when i finish. i drive straight to the track and get in on the last 3 sessions with my friends. bottom line is, there was NO WAY that f%&kin car was going to stop me from having fun with my friends. i almost died on the way back. (couldn't stay awake after all that work, no sleep, then adrenalined out trackday). but it was worth every last second of hell for those 60 mins. of heaven.
your problem is you tried to do too much to your car at once without getting any reward out if it. my friend did that with a badass 300zxtt. started buying all this stuff. then decided he wasn't gonna drive it till he put everything on. well, guess what. he never did drive it again and lost his *** selling it broken and in pieces. get tough, put that **** together (n/a if you have to) and come drive the **** out of it.

one of the guys asked so just thought i'd let everyone know that to sign up for the oct. 9th event @ tws, goto: ClubRegistration.net
you need to sign up for an account if you don't have one. the click on store-event signup-texas world speedway-all- hit search and all the events will come up. i tried it earlier, but registration isn't open for that date yet. should be within a week though.

also, gates open @ 1pm, MANDATORY driver's meeting @ 1:30pm, track hot @ 2pm. free garage space (carport) first come first serve basis. although i don't they'll run out during one of these open track days. see everybody soon!

We'll see how this weekend goes with fab work. I could make it, however I seriously doubt I'll make it through a track event and be able to run again in 2009.

Are they limiting registration for this? I heard the last PCA event was a freaking freight train.

a pca event and an open track day are 2 totally different things. all the reports from people that have gone to the open track days have been that there's a handful of cars and a ton of track time with no traffic. there will probably be more of us challenge guys there than anything.

it grips and brakes well too.

The stretchy stud problem was the only problem at the last event, but I seriously doubt this car will make it through a session. I really want to sign up though, but i don't feel like losing another $200 on track time from a broken car.

So i've been reading through this thread again and it's not clear, to me, if i have to be blue approved ahead of time.

I have a racing license and have been instructing for over two years.

I would fully expect to be able to do this event without doing getting pre approved. I don't have the time or money to go do another event just to get "approved" for this one.

I was able to run in the advanced group at MSR-C first time out with my racing license with the Driver's Edge group. Not sure how this group does it. SEnd them an e-mail with your qualifications. Maybe they will send you with an instructor for the first session to check you out, then give you free reign the rest of the day. That is how it was going to be for me at H2R.

Plus, if you have never been to TWS, they can show you the racing line. It is a pretty straightforward track to learn.

just go and pay when you get there. it's only $10 more than pre register.

there is no way your gonna have any problems getting on track. they are not that serious. at the most they MIGHT do a check ride. probably not even that though.

Does this mean I could get away with going?

I've NEVER done a track day...and can't get one in before then.

I just want to go fast somewhere I don't have to worry about traffic or trees.
