CHICAGOLAND DYNO DAY -- SUN OCT 20th
#101
I have somewhat of an emergency. Is there anyone that has a spare 01-04 ignition coil I can borrow to troubleshoot with? I plan on going to LS2 coils at some point and so I don't want to spend $130 at the dealer (or $100 at autozone etc) just to test. If I am only going to run stock coils for the remainder of this year I would prefer to buy a pair of the el'cheapo's (about $50ea) from rockauto.com, but that wouldn't get me to the dyno day after shipping time.
If I don't hear from anybody by noon I am just going to buy one at the dealer and keep it as a spare if it turns out not to be the problem...

01-05 coil is different from 99-00. Doesn't matter either way because I was able to borrow a fresh set of coils and that didn't solve my problem. I am going to try and borrow a fuel pressure tester tonight and also replace my fuel filter. If that doesn't work I am out not going to be able to run on the dyno. It's a shame becaust up until about two weeks ago things have really started to come together.

Inputs wanted:
Currently I'm running a 12psi wastegate actuator, but my clutch slips a bit sometimes when pushing it. Should I put my 6 psi actuator on to prevent any potential slips on the dyno?
This winter i'm planning on putting a bigger clutch and doing an engine rebuild so I'm thinking the 6psi actuator will give me a good baseline and (when/if) we do this again after the winter it will be nice to see the before/after.
It's very difficult to voluntarily turn down the boost.

its ok to show there still will be a good chance for everyone to get on the dyno with or without your name on the list. Not everyone will show up at the same time and some cars will take longer than others. Also mondo doesnt really care if there is a few more. I just want everyone to have enough time and there to be enough people as well. We seem to have accomplished the second and we shouldnt have a problem with the first concern either.
So everyone is welcome and we will just sort out the details when you get there.
