I'll be at Fontana Wednesday night. Meeting the Indy caravan at the overlook that evening actually.
Thursday morning I'll be leading some ppl down to six gap, I believe. Might stop to eat at the Six Gap Cafe. Either way, it'll be about a 6 hour round trip.

That sounds fantastic! I plan on heading down to Winder (1 hour from Six Gap) to pick up my girlfriend Thursday morning. What time do you think you might get to Six
Gap so I can meet you there and drive back with the group?

Just for the sake of scheduling, what does everyone have in mind for eating prior to arrival in Fontana? The town of Maryville came up? Does anyone have any specific preference for dining before we roll into town?
Also, who will have a co-driver or navigator?

There's gonna be so many freakin miatas there I'll never be able to tell most cars apart from another - I'm thinking of putting a vinyl GeneSplicer on my bumpers for y'all to see - naw, that'd be way to gay. Just look for the Dragon and flash your lights at me.

You know it! And you missed a hell of a run up the rattler and back today, never approached the ridiculous speeds like we did yesterday though! There were plenty of very tight switchbacks that made me smile
we also located our personal freshly paved hillclimb venue for next year. Get a couple radios, give the all clear and tear it up using all the roadway

True story - i swear.
So Friday night, a couple clubs next to us had gatherings - plenty of 'older' folks I'd say in general. Anyway, standing around the eliminators, the dam mosquitoes where horrible so i commented that i needed some repellant.
This 55ish guy with an ever-so slight lisp says he thinks he has some i could use. I said that'd be awesome, so i follow him to his miata and watch as he starts rummaging through his bag in the passenger seat, then the trunk. No luck, he proceeds to look in the glove box. He opens it up and the first thing sitting on top of the mess is a bottle of half-empty astroglide. I couldn't freaking believe it - all the stories are true about gay guys driving miatas! I made the comment "ya never know when you'll need a bottle of astroglide close by."
I'm thankful he didn't offer to rub me down with the mosquito repellant he eventually found!
