Yay Suzuki!
Suzuki Joins the WRC!
Well, at the WRC car level. They've had a successfull Junior WRC programme with the Ignis for a long time and many top level drivers had driven for them on their way to the WRC level. The oddly proportioned SX4 hatchback forms the basis for their WRC level effort. This bodes well for the WRC with the withdrawals of Peugeot, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Skoda works teams over the past few years. Peugeot's participation was deemed redundant in light of Citroen's successful campaign, Mitsubishi, Skoda and Hyundai cited financial woes and conflicts with FIA rules as reasons for their withdrawals. This brings the total of major manufacturer works teams to four; Subaru, Citroen, Ford, and Suzuki.

id like to see many more manufacturers come/return to the WRC, Suzuki was one of the teams i was looking forward to seeing get there since they have a long history with off road racing and it would have been a shame not to see them in the WRC
im glad they are there for this season, i hope they can last and become real competative
