What are you doing at work right now?

I'm following a lowboy tractor-trailer transport carrying a road milling machine out to a jobsite. My customer is going to eat up some asphalt roadway with it for a couple of days.
If I spent any time in the office, I'd want a ceiling kitty, too. It looks computer generated. I'd like to know how to make one for the wife to take to work if you can direct me to where to find info on making one. Vielen Danke.

Earlier I was surfing OT on NASIOC. Really nice post by Whitford about the F1 at Abu Dhabi. I couldn't see the ton of pics he posted, but everyone raved about them. So I asked if he was there on business or pleasure.
Later on he said he was with his dad. His dad was the closing act for the F1 stuff. Huh...must be a big name guy.
Ffwd to later posts....turns out his dad is Brad Whitford from Aerosmith. Had to look him up. Edited his post on Wikipedia for a bit.

Drilling and tapping a 5/8-11 hole 1.63" deep, induction hardening a 4dp gear, hobbing a 6dp gear, and shaping a 16/32dp spline. The half hour lunch I'm having right now is kinda the eye of the storm these days.

Right now I am working on saving some ta tas (I'm a scientist in a breast cancer research lab). I just finished developing some western blots and am taking a mt.net break while waiting for my cell culture media to warm up.
This is the one I got at work this morning. By the time I went to vote, then sat in traffic after they rolled out the road construction crews (after 9 am) I arrived too late to get a regular parking space. Doesn't cost me anything for valet here, but it creates a mild pain in my *** because I have to drop what I'm doing to go pick up my keys by 6:00, or else hike clear across campus to get them from the main office.

Today: Catching up on eMail and other associated mundane tasks before leaving on another business trip. (The travel voucher was filed yesterday...)
Last week: Setting up a mobile (suitcase 1800 system with portable antenna) cell-phone network and four (4) multichannel radio networks in support of a US Marine Corps training exercise in the deserts of SE California and SW Arizona.
(There are few things in this world that come close to having a mortar company 1/4-mile to your West, the Forward Air Controllers 1/4-mile to your East (and 100-meters higher up the ridge), standing next the the simulated manpad and SA-11 launchers while Harriers and F-18s drop 500 & 1000 pounders prior to the Huey gunships and Cobras make their tracer-laden gun runs 1/2-mile to your North...)

you guys seem to have all the fun.... i showed up to work 30 minutes late. sat in a company van for an hour through traffic. followed by bringing up a few tools onto a roof of an office building to repair a broken condenser. sat around for the next 6 hours doing nothing but reading on here. i am a tin knocker by trade but recently i have been doing preventive maintenance and service calls... kinda pointless with my limited knowledge. i have done a whole hour or two worth of work in the last 3 weeks.... yeah ive been bored as hell.

Thats a bunch of ******* jerky! I need to get another couple of deer loins from my friend and make some deer jerky. Last batch I made, which was way too long ago was kick ***. Soaked the little strips in my secret mix of sauces and seasonings then hung each piece on toothpicks (LONG JOB!) and hung those on my over racks and let them sit overnight on the lowest setting. The ends of the jerky with the thin tips got slightly crispy, which was the best parts. Seems like only 2 small loins made like 3 gallon zipper bags FULL of jerky. This time I'm going for a super batch, maybe 4 or 5 loins.
Game meat > Most store bought beef, pork and chicken

Have you tried making the sausage style? Like the round sticks. I quess it is the same principle?
I would like to try and mix some different meats together, a little Jackel and hyde!
As far as work settings, I am finally off today. we are going to go DIRTBIKE RIDING!
OH YeA!, The Man doesn't own me TODAY!

Going over a BOM (bill of materials) for a very nice, very large, world-class, ion gun vacuum chamber we will be building to test ion based Space Science instruments (NASA, ESA, etc). It is going to be really expensive, maybe 7 figures. That is, if management does not choke on the price tag. If they go ahead with it the Chamber design/build/test will rule my world for the next 8 months.
I am freaking starving. Need to go eat lunch.

Crappy little track in Irving. Called shady grove.
I'd like to go to 360, I'm just scared of getting a ticket out there.
I'd rather jerk around a little at this place, than worry about watching for cops, or getting the truck towed. LOL
Your more than welcome if you wanna come. We are not expert motorcross riders, we actually like trail riding better. But this is 5 mins from the house and only $10. LOL
If i can get some extra hours we are thinking about going to Mena Ar. again. It was rugged and cool climbing the mountain sides and washed out cliffs. Kinda crazy. But not too bad.

My dad is always trying to get me to go up to munsters with him to ride for a weekend. All we've been riding on lately is the little trails we have worn onto my dad's 15 acre land in Granbury, lots of hills and stuff though so it's not so bad
