DSM's make crazy power and with awd they put it down very well. 350-400hp cars are common and you can buy them already built for 5k all day. It's just a different creature from our miata's. The Miata is a fun, light, agile car that you feel easily connected to. The DSM is a hammer. It's heavy, has numb steering but is well developed for turbo's and goes like stink when built.
The problems with DSM guys are just like every other car convert. I'm a muscle car guy. I happen to currently have a buick gs400. Just like the miata forum having problems with honda and mitsu guys, the buick guys hate the chevy and mopar people. Not all the developement or technology that works for other cars can translate. There are different oiling issues, water issues, compression issues, strength of stock parts, breathability, availability of parts, etc.
Every one should be welcome and new ideas can be great. Just don't come in with experience in another make of car and expect you know it all about ours.
