Gonna try and order the mounts from www.dynotested.com if I can get a hold of the ******* guy.
needs a couple more rounds of degreaser before I feel it's clean enough to scuff it up for paint.

meguiars makes something called "super degreaser" as part of their professional line. it works amazingly. I forget where I picked up the quart sized container but it's dilutable so it goes a long way. I'll see if I can find it and edit my post with the link
update: ah whatever. it's like $13 for the gallon and you can get spray bottles.

this purple power stuff is good but I need it absolutely CLEAN.

Yes, it has an R1 wing which needs some paint as the clear is gone on the top.
it's a tough squeeze for me to sit in it, I have about an inch of headroom.
el es juans are too popular, pricing has been stable or going up a bit because they're used in so many swaps.
I can't believe I'm actually doing this.

and make sure you don't order the empty bottles thinkin they're full heh.
update oh that reminds me... I used the SAFE-Degreaser so I could wash it down the alley without feeling too guilty.

Philip, have you investigated your state's process to get a salvage title vehicle back on the road?
Here in GA we have to submit the vehicle to a safety inspection (there are like 3 inspection sites in the state). Vehicle has to be trailered in, or instant fail. If you can provide pictures of the rebuild, as well as an itemized parts list used, the inspection is pretty lax. They don't drive the vehicle or anything, just "inspect" the repair, look for obvious reasons to fail you, test the lights, blinkers, horn, wipers, etc, then send you on your way. You then are allowed a rebuilt title, then you get your car smogged and tagged, to be street legal.

Yeah but is it salvage titled? If so, you may run into issues. Depends on your state. Like I said, here in GA I'd have to go through the state inspection. There is no state inspection for cars with unbranded titles.

I thought those had a "total mileage unknown" designation on the title. I have that situation on mine because the dumb bitch who sold me the car signed it in the date spot, put the mileage on the signature line, and left the mileage spot blank.
