Seems I run across a number of posts here with guys mentioning that they're current or previous SR20 owners?
So who's got what?
This is a recent pic of my NX2000. Dig the stealthy boost gauge.![](https://www.miataturbo.net/images/smilies/smile.gif)

we all know that the ca18 is a descendant of god himself and perfect in everyway from its cast iron block to its aluminum head. Similar in design to the rb series engine with 2 less cylinders, this motor is bulletproof and was only phased out due to its high production cost. It was replaced by a far inferior aluminum block 2 litre engine with 1 cam lobe contolling 2 valves making it noisier and unable to rev as high as the ca.

I'm a KA guy myself. I never understood spending all that money on an engine when there was a perfectly good one in the car.
I turbo'd my KA when it had 175k miles on it and put down 200whp and 220wtq everyday with no problems. All for less money than you could buy an sr20.
