Default Really cheap 5w40 Synthetic Oil (Rotella)

Hi Guys,

It's been awhile since I posted. Namely, because I've been having so much fun with my miata, and well, since I've been busy with other things.
I just wanted to share with some of you guys who are interested.... For those of you that don't know, Amazon has a killer deal on Shell Rotella 5w40 Full Synthetic Oil. It's normally priced at $19/gallon. If you join the subscribe and save for prime members, it's $16/gallon. Also, Shell is offering a $5rebate per gallon up to 4 gallons /year.... So, that's like $11/gallon for full synthetic.

I won't get into a debate as to whether synthetic or regular dino oil is all you need, but at $11/gallon, that's pretty damn cheap for synthetic...I've been happy using it not only in my miata but even replacing it in some of my german cars that call for Mobil 1 or Castrol European 0w40. (though those are now pretty cheap to at $20/gallon).

Anyway, just wanted to pass this along, because being the cheap bastard I am, I get all gidly when I see a good deal..

Thanks for sharing.
We talked about this briefly in another thread, but I had forgotten about it.

I am doing Blackstone with great results. However, I don't go through enough oil a year to take advantage of this great promo. I do 2 oil changes a year, so total oil cost is around $40 anyway
