My thoughts:
My thoughts:
I ran all weekend with **** like a 500whp STI, 700whp GTR, C6Z's on Hoosiers at both TWS and HHR and pulled the Vettes on the front-stretch at TWS due to exit speed and the GTR beat me up in the corners at HHR thanks to the 335 Hoosiers; he did not pull me through the kinks or on the corners where I could carry momentum and he's an HHR member...and I made 250-ish whp on ATS' dynojet. I'd like to know how the hell he's making 280+whp on a stock motor, not blowing it up, and doing it on a 2560 with a log manifold without water injection, and I know he's not running more than 25* of spark angle especially on the stock coil with 9:1 compression.

The compressor map doesn't post far enough "right" to support that kid of flow on that turbo and he's not running 17psi through it. If he were somehow making that kind of power he'd bend the rods. Put a 2871 on it and run 16psi through it with 15* of spark and it might happen, but that motor won't take it and his turbo is tiny.

Can you please explain to him that I did blow my transmission this season at an autox with 215 rwhp 225 tq durring a high rpm 1st to second shift.
5 spd + over 200 rwhp = limited abuse or fail
There are plenty of guys here who have had 5spds fail...and yet he says they are good for 300 hp? lol. I have my gear tooth to prove it.

****, one of my spec miata friends goes through 2 or 3 5speeds a season on his race car. These are all freshly rebuilt transmissions to. His third gear synchros always seems to be what goes.

I've never made more than 250rwhp, did two HDPEs on mine and tons of autoxes before mine mine finally went...but I drove on it 2 years still after that whining at me the entire time. sounded like i had straight cut gears.
oh by 250rwhp i mean 320...

280rwhp on what dyno? We know that turbo will do over 300 on a dynojet with the right intake and exhaust and cylinder head. My old manifold setup (Version 1 BEGI FM replacement) did 270rwhp dynojet @13psi 2560 with my otherwise stock '94 engine and 1.6 trans. Apples to oranges but I have been throwing boost thru a 1.6 trans since '01. I credit it to running 205/45/16's. Tires spin before trans explode.

Well
The miata transmission is very nice, but can't handle safely more than 250 WHP.
At stock situations or at light turbo setups you 'll not deal with problems, but with 300+ WHP the 2th or 3th gear sometimes will gone
So there are two solutions
1)exotic stuff gears (os giken, quaife etc) but very expensive
2)adaptate transmission from another car, more inexpensive from the first solution but very difficult to do a perfect job.
