Default Pulled over for speeding and, for the 1st time, didn't get a ticket...

I lucked out tonight for the first time. Sped right past a cop that was sitting with his lights off in a parking lot a couple blocks from my house, and he actually didn't turn his lights on and pull me over until I was turning down my street.

I was so close, I ended up just pulling up to my house. So, it was a little bit embarrassing, since I knew a couple neighbors noticed, but the whole thing was over in about 3 minutes. He must've had something more important to do.

I thought for sure I was going to be batting 4/4 with speeding tickets.

"Sorry I was speading officer, I didn't mean to, but I was trying to hurry home to take a dump."

Works like a champ. Just hope I don't get the same cop twice. :gay:

Default down your way

I was headed to St. George Island one year doing 125mph in the 626v6 south of I-10 on the two lane straight-aways. Got a ticket on the same roads for the return trip doing 59mph in a 55mph zone.

Yes, the cops in this town are incredibly strict on speeding compared with where I used to live, Jacksonville.

I think that's what happens when you live in a small town that only has six murders a year: cops get bored and plan elaborate speed traps all over town. That's how it feels around here, anyhow.

Let me know if you're ever on your way through to St. George again, and we'll meet up for a drink and shoot the ****.
