I have a few questions about programming. Basically for my work i have to have data sheets MANY MANY data sheets and instead of carrying around the 2 -1000 page binders full of data sheets I want to carry a laptop and hook it up to a printer and print off the 10-20 sheets I actually need. The problem is there are over 200-400 variations of data sheets. So what I want to do is make an interface. Essentially a list of the names of the data sheets with a check box next to each one. I check the ones i need, hit print and the program automatically prints the data sheets I selected from a directory of data sheet templates.
I have experience in MATLab, so arrays and loops arent a problem and supposedly its similar to C++ but I have no way to verify.
Where should i begin?
What should I use to write the code? Pretend I am an idiot savant. Writing the program wont be hard, for what will be hard is what to write it in compile and test. Cause up until now I have had everything in matlabs little enviroment.

Great place with great people. Start your thread - "LOLAs Friend needs help" and then post what you need from them. That is where I learned everything about PC's and how to work on them.
You will usually get almost instant replies and their membership is larger than M.NET.
