Picked up a new toy today. 1997 GSXR 750. It doesnt have to best paint but theres no cracks in the plastic and its in amazing shape mechanically (16k on the odo) Has new tires and a leo vince pipe. All in all I couldn't pass it up for only $1600. At first I was a little weary about white rims but they really grew on me and now I wouldn't have them in any other color. Plus all my gear is black/white/grey

Thanks guys, ya I love it. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it to kinda spice up the look just a tad just to break up the all-one-colorness. I'm looking on ebay, for $30 I can get an all white decal kit that I think will look pretty good. Threw something together in paint in like 2 minutes but you get the idea...

Lol ya, thats true with busas around here. Out every of 10 busas you see only one will have a white guy on it.
Ya my roomate drives a sv1000s, I like it. Atleast now I can keep up with my roomates somewhat. (the other one rides an rc51) Before this I had a gs500 I picked up to learn on, it was a great little bike but it struggled on long hills and wouldn't hardly take my fat *** past 100. The roomate with the sv picked his first bike up the same week as I got my gs500, he gave me **** about my slow bike, I told him he got too much bike for a beginner. Lets just say I'm not the one with scars.
Thanks gospeed

Ugh it's snowballing into a nightmare! The key broke off in the ignition, tried removing the ignition and while fiddling with one of the ignition wires had a tiny hole in it or something because it arced between the wire and the frame via the Allen wrench I was using. Little spark didn't think much of it. Well fast forward a few hours past giving up on removing the ign, making a lock pick tool out of a Bobby pin, fishing the key out, having a new key made... Having a second new key made that finally works... Getting on to ride it to work and realizing there's no power to the bike! Argh! Now I'm heading to the parts store to pick up a main fuse. All of it's 100% my fault but it's frustrating none the less lol!
EDIT:
Got everything going again, only took 5 minutes to replace main fuse but still had to call into work. Oh well I got some paid time off built up. I guess I can wire up my wideband gauge in the mata this afternoon.
