I was in the passenger seat... the pole and I are now friends. I have the actual high res pics but no camera cord. I will post them in the AM.

We came around a really sharp corner, and scott accelerated coming out of the corner on a concrete bridge (wet and weird textured), the rear end went ape **** and we spun about 15 yards and ended up on a Pepco pole. Talk about a headache. Impact was enough to do all that you see, plus destroyed the differential.

Glad you are both OK. That should buff right out. Bang out the quarter panel and everything else is bolt-on.

mine was probably worse, miata parts aren't all that expensive, even new. the quarter on mine was the most expensive and i think i only paid like $400 new from mazda for it, maybe less.

The rear quarter is not replacable last time I checked... Parts I consider totaled:
RQPanel
trunk
center "trunk thing"
rear tail
Front QP
Diff
Front drivers side arm (possibly)

Its a hell of a lot of stuff.

it really might no really be all that bad, when i crashed, i replaced... f bumper,L fender, L door, L quarter panel, r bumper, tail lights, mirrors, and a bunch of various things. i weighed the costs of fixing mine or buying another a swapping over, i came out cheaper fixing it because i wasn't going to accept buying an old POS that looked like ****, this way i came out with fresh panels and paint.
