This is what worries me. I like having kitties around who are nice, unlike Polly who is an evil bitch to the core. When my GF's cats go, I'm going to be lonely and I worry that Pollerz will be too.

Okay gays, here's an update. It's become pretty clear to me that my GF's cats have learned to tolerate Pollerz Rozzle. It seems that Polly and the tortie play fight, and that Jackie tolerates Polly acting like a horrible ---- all the time. They understand each other. They kind of play and don't hiss anymore. Animal and Polly will never be friends because Polly is a huge bitch and will probably go to kitty hell. They always hiss and fight.
Polly has also dropped from 9 to 7lb making me think it's a really good idea to get another kitty when my GF's kitties leave. Polly doesn't seem to be attention deprived anymore and get's a playmate.
So these two kitties who I love very much are going to move to Houston soon and Polly and I will be all alone. I'd like to get another, do I go with the nice, sweet stray known as "Polly-mamma"? She's really sweet and relaxed and I'd love to have her in my home. Or, do I go with a playful young adult cat? I won't get a kitten because kittens are for idiots who can't bring themselves to love an adult cat. I'm torn between a kitty that likes to rough-house and play with others, vs a cat that will love me, lol. A feral kitty is my first choice, but I'm not sure that I'm up for the process of welcoming a feral kitty into my home with ultra-dominant Polly.
Y8s, where do you get your kitties from?

I alway go to an animal rescue place. They bring the cats over, and see how they react to the space, me, my other cats, etc. Only once has there been a problem - they brought over this big alley cat who was not socalized at all. They took him back, and brought over one that fit in fine with the rest.
Are there still fights? Certainly. Some are mere hissing matches, and are over in seconds. Some are knock down dragout fights that have to be broken up. No worse that me and my brothers growing up.
Personally, I think you like "polly-momma" already, so give it a shot.

It's now been like 8 months and Polly and Animal still HATE HATE HATE each other. I went out of town for a day and someone made the peepee on my sweater, bed, and gym bag...I think it was Animal. Someone has also been vomiting again; I took Animal to the vet for this a few months ago, she received a steroid shot and a laxative, that pretty much too care of the barfing.
Clearly something is very wrong. I'm thinking that either Polly framed Animal and wants me to behead her, or Animal is upset. Animal is a weird bitch to begin with where she's sad and weird as hell. She's made my bedroom her room and won't let Polly in, of course Polly runs in half a dozen times per day to jack with Animal. Animal comes out of the bedroom for about 30-90 minutes per day. The bitch is ******* weird, it doesn't help that Polly tortures her. For the record, Polly and Jackie get along just fine...well, Polly bullies her a little but nothing I'm worried about considering that Jackie thinks fighting on her back is the best approach.
Any thoughts on how I should proceed?

my one cat vomits a lot after she eats because she eats crazy fast without chewing in order to get her fair share of food before the others can. When we make sure she eats slow and without worry she'll run out, we dont seem to have the problem. Else could be a hairball issue.
Otherwise, I dunno. My kitten was fine with the other two after like day 4.
My 17lb male cat is deathly afraid of the 6-7lbs kitten that terrorizes him, but he has no problems tossing his weight around and sufficating the kitten when he's tired of it. But he does run away like a big baby and I laugh at him for being such a push over. The best thing I've found that's been helping that is focusing on them playing with toys in the same room.

I will try laser-party with Animal and Polly for the next few months.
So you have an idea of how bad it is, occasionally Polly tries to get into the bed with me at night, then she and Animal fight. Animal freaks the **** out and starts screaming like she's getting eaten and goes absolutely ape **** until Polly is convinced that she can't win. It's pleasant to awake to this at 4am.

The last week was the first week since Jan 1st (when we got the kitten) that I haven't been woken up at 3-4-5am to them fighting on top of my genitals.
My male cat, hobbes, has a really long floppy tail that the kitten, pookie, cant resist. Hobbes likes when I spoon him at night so it all happens on top of me. so he cries, gets up and sits on my face instead.
PlLus the kitten knows to wake me up to get fed. The other day I had the girl cat, Belle, and Pookie both liking my face at 4am for me to feed them. It was cute.
I guess I'm lucky Hobbes is big baby pushover and doesn't get aggresive and crazy. Pookie doesn't attack Belle because she is Alpha, hisses and smacks him for points. She's old, grumpy and doesn't mess around. Pookie caught on fast that she wasn't fun but chasing Hobbes still is.
