I dont know i believe of a cats is confusing the real evo 3 16g for hte big 16g the twin scroll ont he real evo makes it spool and run very similiar to the small 16g with the top end of the big 16g at boost levels above 15 psi it is supposed to be good for 400+ hp. i see alot of 16g's on ebay and htey all claim ot be evo3's but most of htem are just big 16g's wich suck unless you are always above 15psi. i would suggest you buy a real evo 16g or small 16g from a respectable place that way you will be sure what you are geting. THe only reason i bough the install kit for the 16g was becouse i needed a j pipe, dont you already have a j pipe if not buy away some places give the install kit away wiht a turbo purchase btw my 16g ran me 550 bucks and a real evo is 600 or so i hope this helps. Check out the site i posted before for parts references. teh stealth 316 site also has alot of turbo maps.

i just sold my 98 gsx for my miata, when i sold it i was puttin down 321hp. You definity need 3" exhaust from turbo back. I was running an afc on 660s with a apexi blowoff valve, which is not recirculated, and had no problems. The common route taken is turbo back exhaust, intake, bov, intercooler piping, and boost controller. I wouldnt run more than 16 psi on the stock turbo, that seems to be where it stops making power. When you go to a bigger turbo then do a 255 fuel pump, injectors, intercooler, afc, and a port job on your exhaust manifold, and o2 sensor housing. I had a big 16g from forced performance which had the 34mm flapper mod. I got the install kit and would recommend it. I never ran my setup at the track, but i did run it on i/e and ran a 8.90 at 79mph in the 1/8. With the full setup i ran a c5 vette and pulled him by 2 to 3 cars from a stop to 100.

How does this look? Would I need a BOV with it?

your cart came up empty, but yes you would need a bov with that piping. You cant go wrong with a greddy valve, i bet 95% of dsms are running greddys. That exhaust is what you need but quality? my exhaust ran right at $1000, i used a apexi n1 muffler with a extreme motorsports cat and downpipe.

I think you're confusing me explaining the difference between the knockoff Evo3 16G and the Mitsubishi Evo3 16G. I never mentioned the Big 16G.
I also see you're confusing the Evo3 16G with the Evo8 16G, which is twin scroll. The Evo8 turbo won't bolt-up to his DSM, I won't explain why.
What I was saying is clear. Running "lower boost," buy the small 16G. Running "higher boost," get the Evo3 16G. They are better at their respective levels.
Lastly, I know this is in the BS section, but it's getting:gay: If you want as many new parts as possible, go ahead, buy the cheapest stuff you can find. It wont bother anyone, as I stated, it's your car. I'm just trying to help. Buy the stuff you planned, do your own installs. You'll learn so much.. Keep us updated on the build, and good luck. Pictures too. Dyno?

"Tech Tip: These pipes come pre-flanged for the GReddy Type S, Type RS, and Type R Blow off valves. (blow off valve is sold separate)"
Buy the BOV only. The "Kit" likely comes with a flange. Your new Greddy pipes will be pre-flanged, and the Greddy BOVs listed above will bolt-on.

My only nitpick (sorry) is not recirc. BOV. But, you can get it anyway and run it. If you are having problems, you can buy the recirc. kit.
