My new 15 year old ride
http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=2626624
I am going back to my roots. I was a hardcore VW guy before I got my Miata in 03.Plans call for 10 lbs of boost and water injection. Car should weigh in under 2500lbs so 330 whp should do the job. Heres a picture of my old silver MKIII and another turbocharged MKIII Vr6 that I built.

Sweeet, I've got a dub too. Got it in June '05.
Here's some pics:
It's a 2.0 TDI. This car goes pretty hard in a straight line and has more torque than the GTI, it's much quicker than the 1.9 TDI. In the UK they sell this Golf with sport suspension and it's called the GT TDI. I wish you could get that here in Australia!
I'd love to get a set of 18" BBS CH wheels for it, but I'd rather spend the money on mods for the MX-5.
Cheers,
Tim

A MKIII 16v is something a lot of North American dubbers wish they had.
That is a hot looking MKV. I have never got a ride in one but have heard that all VW's diesels can scoot pretty well. Do they offer chip upgrades for the 2.0 tdi yet?
The gains they are making with the 2.0 FSI is pretty awesome.

Damn, I love the older GTi's. What is that, mark 2 or mark 1? Obviously I'm not that up to speed with VW's, but they do look good with those fender flares, which is rare.
Nice plumbing on the red car too, very very clean. I prefer stainless plumbing

Yeah I don't like using mild steel for anything that will be visable or exhaust related.
I just realized that was you Brandon. Good to see you are still enjoying the Miata.
I actually have this MKII up for sale if you know anyone interested. I decided I am much more an MKIII guy so I am gonna go that direction again.

Yeah, enjoying it and kicking it a little. It's been down for a bit because I tried installing an ACT clutch and a RX7 diff. Clutch went in fine, diff blew up a mile into it. So I finally got some $$ together and I pick up the rebuilt unit and install it tomorrow
I'll keep my eyes open for a buyer, knowing it's builder it's a quality car so it should be an easy sell. Do you mind me asking how much you're looking to get? What type of MKIII you thinking about?
