Sam, I like you, I really do...but don't suggest something like Six Sigma for their application. The nature of their products does not allow mass production quality guidelines like six sigma. That's like a woman with hereditary curves trying to maintain 20 lbs under ideal weight. She might be able to do it, but it's not healthy.
Ok, so how about the four eyes principle? That would work perfectly. Someone makes the product and then another person checks over it top to bottom. That persons salary alone will be payed by the savings on shipping defective stuff back and forth and the gain in customer satisfaction is priceless.

That's what I would like to know as well. I've made a couple recommendations on things, like not coating the flanges but I'm interested in hearing what kinds of things they're doing differently. Sounds like they're straightening out their shipping with multiple look overs.
I'd be interested in seeing what their jigs look like, I've never been around tubing fabrication jigs so I think it's all pretty cool stuff.
Saw this one on HMT, pretty cool stuff. The hoseclamps are subpar and time costly even if using a drill to snug them down but it looks like a good fixture.

The is someone else making the downpipes now. The jig's have all been revised for the O2 sensor locations. I can post pictures of our jigs tomorrow.
Two weeks ago, we re-designed the 1.8L 94-97 downpipe. There were changes made to give more clearance by the CAT pipe.

Just one corner of it in one spot, its not a big deal but something you may want to look at.

Pretty cool, very interesting to see for sure. They're very different then the one I posted.
Here are some pictures of the vibrant all stainless flex section and the 304SS 02 sensor bungs.
$3.57 for 02 bungs
$2.55 for 02 bung plug
$49.94 for 3"x6" flex coupling

Most people don't want it closer to the hot parts.

Well, I got my Begi S3 kit today. I'm pretty sure they sent me two incorrect parts, well one I'm sure of, the other I'd like confirmation on. At some point before my stuff was made my downpipe order was changed from the standard 2.75 to a 3". I'm pretty sure I still got the 2.75". Also originally I had ordered the #1 intercooler but I called up and spoke to Corky and it was changed to the #2. It appears I still got #1. The intercooler change is on the invoice, but the downpipe is not, although I was confirmed by email that the changes were made. Another question: How difficult should it be to put together the slip joint on the downpipe? SHould it easily slip into place or require some muscle? Anywho, I'm not mad, just dissapointed that it's going to take a little longer.
Here's some pics so you guys can hopefully help me confirm before I call tomorrow. Thanks-
