Nice man, I love UT. Right now the snow in Taos is GREAT. We had a late start, but recently have had storm after storm for this last month and the mountain is really getting filled in. We've got 2 more storms on the radar for this week. They JUST opened the ridge (hike-able terrain for the hardcore), well not the entire ridge, but they opened the first few runs. I got some gnarly knee deep turns in with limited sharks lurking.
As for the pic, thanks, but I take no credit. Just found it online to illustrate my point. Here's one of my pics from pre-season last year when we hiked the resort before it opened.
Drop me a PM when you are coming into town, we can go ride.

Yah huge fresh snow here at Canyons but...
I was doing a little stupid jump at the end of the day on Monday and fucked up the landing getting the nose stuck in packed powder and twisted my knee kinda bad. The next day I fell well skating off the lift cus I was nervous and twisted my knee again. grrr
Took today off and will see how it feels tomorrow but i might be done for the week. It's really hard to bomb a run when you hesitate :(
Should be better by January though. Gonna rest it until it's solid.

All my years of drinking jack and racing down the mountain I'm lucky I never got hurt.
Longboarding, that's a different story.
I miss both....

No, I've been going for um 5 years with about 60 days of all day runs. Never gotten hurt before but I have never tried to do tricks until this year, even stupid small jumps- hence my injury. I spent a LOT of time getting very very good at... moguls. I like to beat skiers down the moguls- powder, pack or icy.
Here's a random pic from two years ago at snowbird.

Looks like you have what we call the "invisible girlfriend" in that picture.
Send that bitch packing asap.

Haha, i was thinking the same thing vash. What do you mean you miss both? Did you give them up? I still do both as much as possible. I'm on my 6th year of snowboarding, the last 4 I've had 60+ days a season on the mountain and tons of longboarding/mountain biking in the summer. I'll never stop.
With so much work going on, side projects, things around the house, etc. I've just been too busy to go out and ride. Not to mention the no insurance thing really has me by the dick. lol
Hopefully once things relax a little this winter I can get out a few times. Last year I didn't even go once. I'd love to go 60+ days a season.

6" of fresh powder overnight, and here I am at work. Oh well there's so many tourists in town right now and my pass is "blacked out" anyways. Vash, get back on that horse man, all you need to do is ride 3 days a week to get about 60 days in. I'm getting close to 20 days already this year.
"kachina peak" It's awesome, take about an hour to hike if your in good shape, and you can usually score pow even weeks after a good storm due to people being lazy apathetic *****.
I'm in front here. My bro's headcamera lol.
Silly pic of me coming off a tiny booter.
