I recently changed my tires at costco, they torqued my lugs to 87 instead of 86 according to the receipt. Soon after, I could smell this burning smell. At first I thought i was slipping my clutch too much but when i got out i could smell it from the brakes. :/ is 87 too much? or maybe they over torqued my lugs without looking at what was recommend? Thanks in advance!

You know, I have always had the same opinion over there, but now that I (exclusively) hang out the the Engine Conversions section, it's like the atmosphere here. Good people that actually DO things to their own cars, DIY builds, noobs summarily dismissed or even (gasp) berated for not searching, real help and informative threads, build threads beyond installing a windblocker, truly knowledgeable people and very little misinformation. It's all good.

I did this morning...Discount Tire for the win.
They also gave me a $216 credit on upgraded tires since they had sold the Falkens I had reserved (made appointment last week).
This meant we got a set of Michelins put on my wife's truck which should have cost almost $300 for just $60 more.
Always had good experiences there...and horrific experiences with Sears.
