There had been a hawk around the neighborhood and the cat - who loves pissing birds off - shows up with a decent sized deep cut on his ass in mid-April (no way another cat could make this 4-5 inch gash). It looks to scab over and heal up only for the cat to scratch and tear it apart a few more inches down to the muscle a week later.

So $600 and a trip to the animal emergency room on a saturday night all to bring us this classic photo of Clark.

That poor, pathetic cat :((

Pen2_the_penguin 05-12-2014 10:54 PM

Almost had a god damn heart attack. My cat doesnt go outside by himself or his harness because of the mass amount of other animals in this area where I dont want him associating with them hoodlums, not only that people like speeding up my street without a care for the kids, let alone animals. On the way home my wife calls and tells me that the cat went out through the door when she thought it was fully shut. So of course, nothing else mattered in life but my cat. I raced home way over the speed limits in my lexus ES 300, sobbing like a complete baby; get home, hard park and hop out of the car basically screaming my cats name.

He didnt come out for my wife, but the bond I felt when he came running, scared and meowing his head off to his manly, sniveling, teary faced human made me break down like I lost a family member-- because for that wash of relief, I didnt lose my best bud after all.

Yeah i know that feeling man. My cat fell off the porch last summer and hes an indoor cat only. Looked for him all day, found him next night hiding in a racoon hole or something under the face of the building i live in.

We just built an screened in porch; our most scaredycat cat wants to live out there now. pics to follow laterz.

My new cat brought me a baby rabbit yesterday. Today, he decided to take it back and eat it.

That's a hell of a screened in porch.

Love the screened in porch! My cat would find a way to climb to the top of the roof and get stuck.

The pic of him in the cone was a week ago and we let him back out at night finally. Sure enough he decides to take on like 6 other cats in a loud street brawl around 2am. I yelled for him and he comes strutting back in all too pleased with himself. Built up blood lust from two weeks in a cone I imagine.

Rather blurry pic attached of him after a night back on the town post cone and stitches.

Gimp kneed cat already gets on the banister. We actually might install some sort of shelves and landing for them to hang out on the header you see in the picture across that front wall.

Crystal picked this up on the way home from work yesterday. He's batshit crazy, and i've never seen a cat adjust this quickly to new digs.

8 months, 9lbs, lots of growing to do. He's gonna be a big boy!

Dem paws!

Lick lick lick. He likes to lick things.

5 minutes after arriving at his new home. He approves of comfy couch.

He's a very violent kneader. Loves blanket.

On/off switch. Crazy one minute, but sit down on the couch, he kneads for about 30 seconds, then settles down for a long cuddle.

5 minutes after meeting daddy.

Assed the fuck out. Stayed like that for about an hour.

That's one damn fine kitty!

concealer404 05-14-2014 11:06 AM

Yep! He's really handsome, should be a real regal bastard when he fills out. REALLY awkward looking right now and still walks like he hasn't grown into his legs.

Braineack 05-14-2014 11:18 AM

some cats have issues like neuropathy...

concealer404 05-14-2014 11:23 AM

He moves normal when he's running or chasing things, just sways a little while walking. He's got a vet appointment on Friday just to make sure everything is all good before we let him and Mr. Peach together, so i'll make sure they check it out. :)

Monk 05-14-2014 11:47 AM

He goes well with you pillows. I've got a new batch of kittens at home that I would like to go to a good home (I'll keep them if nobody on here wants them). I'll post up some pics after work.

dieselmiata 05-14-2014 12:12 PM

Good looking kitty! I'm interested to hear about how Peaches feels about the new neighbor.

Of course we will want them, its the distribution that becomes an issue.
