Evidently he wants to be powdercoated. He left little black paw prints all over the basement.

I don't know why, but that is one of my all-time favorite cat pictures.

I should be adopting 2 cats from a shelter tomorrow. I am so stoked to finally have feline friends to post pictures of in here.

Yay Lars

Frankie the kitten. He has a weird shake and hop when he walks.

Yay! You saved three! As far as I'm concerned, you are a hero.

Oooh you got three. I want to snuggle them

Frankie already likes the laser pointer.

Cloud (the one in the powdercoating box above) has it. As I understand it, it comes from the mother receiving a strain of a vaccine that affects the kittens development. If he does indeed have it, be cautious about him getting onto high places. They lose their balance/footing easily and fall down quite often. One of these days I'll get video up of Cloud wandering around. It's sad, yet hilarious. The funniest thing is that he doesn't alternate paws when he walks. He moves both feet on one side at a time, walking like he has a potato chip in his ass he doesn't want to break. Here is a good example of an extreme case, but you can see towards the end of the video that they learn to deal with it. |

So I looked at the Vet records that came with the cats. Frankie has mild case of vestibular dysplasia. So nothing that will cause any long term problems. Just a slight twitch and probably the hop for life. |
