Shopping for a soft top for my gf's TJ. Don't want to join any jeep forums yet and enter that black hole.

It has a factory hardtop, and never had a soft top. What do I need to put a soft top on it. Currently browsing craigslist and found this:

Jeep Wrangler TJ stuff!

He has said so far:

Is this a good deal? I don't really know how the soft top even works lol.

$250. Bikini top. Soft top with hardware. 2 sets of windows, tinted and clear ones. Yes they all have the stock holes where the bolts go.

No doors or uppers they sold, Original top

You will need door surrounds. They go above your door and keep the top tight above you. I sold mine already. They go for $60

Do yourself a favor and buy a new one from Bestop.
A bikini top will not keep rain out. It is more of a sun shade. You want a full soft-top.
I switched tops every winter and the Bestop hardware is very easy to take on and off by yourself. I only had to drill 4 small holes for the rear flap, everything else bolted to factory locations.
Also, once you have the hardware you can buy replacement tops cheaper.
