That's awesome. Did you ride up that paved road, or was it a combo of dirt/pavement/trail?
Pretty jealous of some of your geological features that you have that are so different from where I am. Would be nice for a trip, but not having ridden much elevation I would die.

yeah, we rode up 35 miles on paved roads, then down 25 miles of singletrack. Normally you shuttle up the paved road and ride down the trails, but we wanted to kill ourselves and ride the whole loop.
I feel like **** today.

Instead of upgrading my 1990's era Kuwahara with STI levers and maybe a bar, bar tape, cassette with something more suited for river valley climbs I decided to get a more modern bike. Picked this up for $500 CDN and will sell the old steed for $200 CDN.
I'm interested to see the ride difference from Triple Butted Cro-Mo and Cro-Mo fork to Aluminum and Carbon fork. I also notice that the new bike's tires although the same 23 width as the old they are much taller. That should help on some rough sections as well.
I wonder if I'll miss the Bio-Pace chainrings?
