If FEMA had the bicycles, would it fund Hustler's manlet bib?

In earlier posts I mentioned refinishing my frame. Having seen it in person now, I think that I should be able to get away with a super light wet sand and buff.
There are a few spots where there is a REALLY light chip in the clear where I think I can fill the chip with an activated clear to harden and then wetsand/buff. The graphic package on the bike looks a lot better in person than I anticipated and would like to preserve it- it would also help the resale too should I not like it.
Pumped to build it up.

Ignore the fail in that pic.

not going to bother stripping it. too much headache for what it is. Just going to sand and buff then assess from there.
Someone on a local classified is trying to dupe me for a 105 lever set. asking $300 for used 105 levers LOL.

Can you at least take a picture from the man-ring with the valves down? I want to show it to my CAAD10 and want to be sure it can respect you.
Does it ride like a caddy?

I never really thought about this but it is remarkable. that every day schlubs like us can save our pennies and buy the equivalent of F1 technology to ride to work on. Those lurking here that think it's all carbon fluff might feel differently if they could buy a WRC tarmac spec Citroen for autocrossing on the weekends for say, $30k. We can buy a bike that's arguably better than what last years world Champion or Tour de France winner rode for less than $10K.
For those that have never ridden a 16lb 20spd full carbon road bike, go test ride one. Just to see what we're on about.

The shop did a great job moving my components over and had me set up perfectly.
I also have a CAAD 5 that is presently set up as a Time Trial bike. I will have to get a picture of it in the daytime. Sorry about the bad pic of the Synapse, but it is hard to get an indoor shot of a black bike.
Trying to get the Miata finished, so it is hard to ride and wrench at the same time.
On that note, I hope to update the build thread this weekend.

I have ridden bicycles which are conceptually similar to what has been posted above. They were made from steel and aluminum rather than carbon-fiber and unobtanium, but the fundamental geometry was similar. It's true that they are comparable to F1 machines, inasmuch as they are both finely tuned machines which are neither comfortable nor practical as daily commuter vehicles, with groceries, rain, snow, potholes. thieves, gravel, cabs, busses, and the like to contend with.
Earlier today, prior to having read this post, I happened to snap a photo of my DD as I parked it outside the grocery store in sub-freezing weather. A few minutes after this photo was taken, I un-folded the cargo basket on the back and loaded it up.
That's a practical "ride to work" bike. And it only cost $160, not $10,000. If I owned a $10k bike, I'd be terrified to leave it parked unattended at the train station all weekend.
